The Task

You will research a weather disaster that has affected many people’s lives. You will work in a group that your teacher will assign. You will assume one of the following roles: newscaster, weather field reporter, or victim of the disaster. You will work together to present a newscast about the disaster, as if it were happening that very day. You will use the Internet and encyclopedias to research your weather disaster. Your group will present their newscast using a PowerPoint presentation, as well as other backgrounds made by your group. Your newscast will be videotaped for all to learn about the great weather disaster. Have fun learning and exploring! Don’t forget to be creative!
